The Godspeed is a replica of the ship associated with the story of Pocahontas, who is buried at Gravesend, England. The Godspeed replica sailed from England to Virginia in 1985. There is more information on the voyage from Felixstowe in England here. Captain John Smith commanded the Godspeed on the original voyage in 1606 to what is now Jamestown, where he met Pocahontas, who was the daughter of the American Indian chief Powhatan.
